New Law Comes Down Hard on All Adult Alcohol Providers Omaha, Neb. (AP) - A new Nebraska law allows adults to be sued for providing alcohol to minors if someone gets hurt or killed. The new law took effect on January 1, 2008. The new law will add another deterent to adults who might consider providing alcohol to minors. Those adults can already face criminal charges for providing alcohol to the underaged.
