"Misery"
... might be one of The Sheridan County Players top dramatical productions of all time...

Candie Johnson and Jim Vallette as Annie Wilkes and Paul Sheldon
For those of you in Sheridan County who have not recently enjoyed live theatre, you have a golden opportunity this week.

The Sheridan County Players are currently doing a production of a play, based on the Stephen King novel by the same title, "Misery".

This production features just two characters, but they are stunningly portrayed by Candie Johnson and Jim Vallette. The story surrounds a writer(Vallette), who quite accidentally falls into the hands of his greatest fan (Johnson), who also turns out to be his greatest nightmare.

While this show is not for the faint of heart, and carries a PG-13 rating, it is definitely a remarkable production, skillfully presented by director Ryan Lovell, assisted by Toi Lyn Flick and a crew of several others handling the technical, sound, lighting, and eerie special effects.

The performances given by Johnson and Vallette are truly remarkable and for folks who like a thriller, this play will not disappoint.

Fans of the theatre would be well advised to take in "Misery" in this final weekend of performances at the Plains Theatre in Rushville.
