Business With A Mission and A Little Touch of Home...

Is there anything better than the smell of homemade cinnamon rolls or the aroma coming off a steaming bowl of hot homemade chicken-noodle soup? For coffee lovers, the smell of fresh brewed coffee on a cold wintery day is simply heavenly!

The goal of "His Place" is to eventually channel any and all profits from the business into the Panhandle Rescue Mission. Pam and her husband Phil realize that a business takes years to develop and they are both committed to making this "home-style" coffee shop a permanent downtown attraction. From all appearances and "aromas" they are well on their way towards making "His Place" a great and lasting addition to downtown Gordon.

Thanks to Pam Wineinger and her volunteer staff, these smells roll out of Gordon's newest down town restaurant/coffee shop on a daily basis. His Place has been open since September 28 and is slowly building a reputation as one of this area's real treasures.

In recent weeks, the coffee shop has added a flat screen television and fireplace which serves to enhance the "homey" feelings of a friendly place to enjoy a meal or a specialty coffee.
